This handy little square tool was custom made just for Stitch Together and used for measuring gauge swatches made from any type of yarn. Simply hold the tool up against your work and count how many stitches fit inside the cut out square (along the bottom for stitch gauge and up the side for row gauge). The bottom measurements are in inches and centimeters are marked on the left side, making this ruler universal for all fiber artists.
Each piece is hand sanded after laser cutting to smooth out corners and edges.
It is important to me that each item I make is special and bamboo contributes to this as a unique material. Bamboo plywood is sustainable and is stronger than wood. Your WPI tool won't be indestructible but can withstand more than one made of birch. Bamboo has a rich history of roles and uses in Asian mythology and culture and is even used in Chinese medicine because of its anti-bacterial properties.
