Hello my fellow stitchers! I hope you're all curled up with your stitching on this dreary cold day. I'm more than ready for the weather to start being more Spring-like but it's looking like it won't happen this week. More reason to just enjoy some warm coffee and knitting.
This week I'm participating in the 5 Shawls 5 Days challenge with Aroha Knits. Each day you learn a new shawl construction and knit a tiny sample. Today was day three and it was a triangular asymmetrical shape, one of my favorites. I've really enjoyed the process of learning different shawl shapes and how / why they work. It's been nice to have something small and quick to work on as well. You can still sign up for the challenge on her website, I highly recommend it if you're wanting to branch out and learn some new skills!
Yarn is our house brand Twisted Sock in the color Pixie Puke. I forget how much I love that color way!
I'm also almost done with one Rose City Roller sock in our Toxic Nebula color in Twisted Spark. I realized recently that I don't knit much with my own hand dyed yarn so I'm trying to remedy that and it's nice to be able to see how they knit up!
This is one of my very favorite sock patterns (and it's free!). It's just about as instant gratification as you can get with a sock. Fast, easy and it doesn't take much yarn at all. It's perfect Spring / Summer sock knitting.
Plus, this color way is pretty darn Spring-y!
If you haven't yet check out our Facebook page... We're having a super fun Easter event starting this Friday. Hopefully I'll see you then. In the meantime, Stitch On.
